What counts as one SMS message?
A standard SMS is up to 160 characters. Messages longer than 160 characters are split into segments and billed per segment. SimpleSend shows you the segment count before you send.
Is there a setup fee or contract?
No setup fees and no long-term contracts. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel any time.
Do I need to register a phone number?
Yes — US regulations require 10DLC registration for business SMS. SimpleSend handles the registration process for you as part of onboarding. This typically takes 3–7 business days.
What happens if I go over my monthly limit?
Overage messages are billed at $0.012 per message at the end of your billing cycle. You'll receive an alert when you approach your limit.
Can I send to contacts outside the US?
SimpleSend is optimized for US sending via 10DLC. International sending is available on Enterprise plans — contact us for country coverage and rates.
